The main objectives of BLS are to promote awareness of lymphoedema and to establish standards of treatment and long term management of this condition. http://www.tvna.org/ Tissue Viability Nurses Associationis exclusive to nurses and provides tissue viability nurses in the UK with professional and political representation. Full membership is reserved for registered nurses in post whose primary responsibility is the provision of tissue viability services or who have the lead responsibility for tissue viability issues within a Trust or other care giving organization. The site provides tissue viability information and a discussion forum. TVNA members and non-members have access to news, events, case studies and articles as well as a product and company directory. The Society maintains a comprehensive list of references and contacts and acts as a resource and advice centre for members. http://www.woundcaresociety.org/ Wound Care Societyis a UK charitable organisation for nurses, which aims to improve the care and treatment of persons with wounds, through the provision of education to nurses interested or working in the field of wound management. The society has produced 21 educational booklets, some of which are available for free download from the Wound Care Society website if you are a member. There are also regular newsletters, regional study days and conferences. |
