In order to gain full access to this and other protected pages, it is necessary to pay for a subscription to the site. The idea for an online global directory of Wound Specialists grew out of the frustrations experienced by a researcher endeavouring to make contact with numerous other specialists around the world. The directory is under construction and the opportunity to subscribe and search will be made available in due course. Please click here to view our privacy policy information.

WoundSpecialist.com aims to contact, through a variety of channels, all personnel (novice to expert) engaged in this fascinating area of healthcare in order to develop the directory. Initially specialists in the UK will be contacted. The directory will then be extended to include mainland Europe, followed by North America and the rest of the world.

Registrants wishing to pre-empt this sequence are warmly welcomed. Interested parties, including clinicians (all professions), scientists, academics/educators, researchers and commercial members, are invited to register and join the worldwide wound healing community.

Currently, in order to protect registrants' privacy, sensitive information, such as contact details, will only be made available to subscribers who can demonstrate a bona fide reason for wanting to contact them, for collaboration or other professional purposes.

Authorised subscribers will be able to access information on the wound specialist's role, specific areas of experience and other activities, such as ability to deliver conference presentations, write for publication or undertake research or medico-legal work, contact details, and where relevant, their publications.

In order to become the definitive database in this sector, we aim to provide those details that specialists feel able to provide about themselves. Online registration is free and will remain so. Subsequent updating of registrants details will also be free.

The term specialist is used widely throughout this site and is not intended to exclude those whose role only allows for occasional or "low level" involvement. Any comments supporting the development of this resource will be appreciated.
